Overall results
of the 8th Saint Petersburg International Conference
on Integrated Navigation Systems

    On May 28-30, 2001, the State Research Center of Russia - Central Scientific and Research Institute Elektropribor (CSRI) supported by the Scientific Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences on the Problems of Motion Control and Navigation, the Academy of Navigation and Motion Control (Russia), the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (USA), the Charles Stark Draper Laboratory (USA), the French Association of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the French Institute of Navigation, held the 8th Saint Petersburg International Conference on Integrated Navigation Systems.

    49 papers including 27 plenary and 22 poster papers were presented at the Conference.

    The sessions of the Conference were arranged on three topics:
   "Inertial systems and sensors" - 24 papers,
   "Integrated systems" - 17 papers,
   "Satellite systems" - 8 papers.

    The Conference Program Committee recommended 14 best papers to be published in the journal Gyroscopy and Navigation.

    The Conference languages were Russian and English with simultaneous interpretation.

    Specialists from 17 countries took part in the Conference: Canada, China, France, Germany, Great Britain, Iran, Italy, the Republic of Korea, the Netherlands, Norway, Pakistan, Russia, the South African Republic, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, USA.

    The Conference involved 166 conferees including 70 specialists from 40 foreign companies and 96 specialists from 41 Russian organizations.
