The system provides:

• radio communication with the shore in LF/MF/HF wave bands and with interacting forces in MF/HF/VHF/microwave bands,
• interior (telephone, radio telephone communication, loud speaker) communication,
• distributed, noncentral switching of any traffic type (voice, video, data, control commands)

Adaptability to different vessels and equipment in service, re-configuration capability in case of switching network failure, high reliability and survivability, multi-service.
