Characteristics
The compasses measure and indicate the magnetic heading. They are equipped with a built-in deviation compensator and a scale lighting unit. The compasses are installed onboard high-speed boats, hydrofoil and air-cushion vessels.
Magnetic compass Azimut 90M is fastened to the top ceiling or to the vertical bulkhead of the deck-house to reduce the effect of ferromagnetic structures and electromagnetic fields and, therefore, to improve the heading accuracy.
The compasses are certified by the Russian River Register, the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping
