Distancia-E. Communication system

The system provides communication between the submarines and coastal command posts, as well as with interacting and support forces of any types.

• Possibility of replacement of towered cable antenna trailed out of the main hull of a submarine, in underwater position
• Minimal power consumption in underwater position
• Backup control of communication systems in the case of automated operator console failure

PROVIDES:

In underwater position:

• Radio reception in VLF, LF, MF and HF wave bands on a towered buoyant cable antenna

• Duplex voice communication and continuous wave telegraphy in HF VHF wave bands
• Radio reception in VLF, LF, MF, HF and VHF wave bands on extendable antennas and in VLF on crossed-loop antenna
• Satellite communication in INMARSAT-C system:
•  telex communication
•  data exchange 
• Receipt of SNS signals Signal reception from Shore Radio Navigation Systems (Omega, Loran-C)
• CS radios control and test, message reception, transfer, documenting and storing executed from one automated operator console
