Parus-98E performs the following functions:

  • all round surveillance of near-water surface and airspace at day, twilight and night time;
  • surface, air, and land target detection;
  • ranging of the observed sea, air and land targets;
  • determination of target bearing;
  • measuring of target relative bearings and elevations;
  • reception of GPS and GLONASS signals.

Periscope complex Parus-98E consists of an attack periscope and a multi-purpose nonpenetrating-type periscope (optronic mast).

  • Day and night surveillance in adverse weather conditions
  • Surveillance and reception of GPS and GLONASS signals, and radar signal detection
  • Distance measurement
  • Availability of periscope mast fairwaters

  • Visual optical channel with the variable magnification (from х1.5 to х12) and fields of view from 40° to 5°
  • Low-light level TV channel (field of view 10х7.5°)
  • System of line of sight gyroscopic stabilization
  • System of radars and other radio aids signals detection
  • Audio- and video-recording system
  • Hydraulic hoisting device

UNIFIED NON-PENETRATING PERISCOPE PARUS-98UPE INCLUDES:

  • TV channel with the variable field of view from 32° to 5°
  • Thermal imaging channel of the spectral range from 8 to 12 мm with two fixed fields of view 9х12° and 2.6х4°
  • Laser range-finding channel
  • Antenna system for satellite navigation system signals reception
  • System of line of sight gyroscopic stabilization
  • System of radars and other radio aids signals detection
  • Audio- and video-recording system
