A.V. Fomichev. Estimation and Compensation of Strapdown Inertial Navigation System Errors Caused by Inertial Sensor Delays
The paper discusses how the data delays of inertial sensors within a strapdown inertial navigation system affect the accumulation of inertial navigation errors. The vehicle motions when this effect is particularly significant are identified in operation and ground-based experiments. Recommendations on delay estimation and further algorithmic compensation are provided.
